Kyoto Eats: Arashiyama Yoshimura

Definitely one of the most beautiful places to eat in Kyoto, I booked in advance for this restaurant to make sure we had the best views in the house, and that we did!

After a morning of bike riding through beautiful Arashiyama in a light drizzle, a bowl of steaming hot Soba Noodle Soup with Tempura Prawn was just what was needed. Overlooking the Hozu-gawa River and the Arashiyama Mountains, we took our time slurping our noodles; apparently slurping is considered polite. The food itself is simple yet hearty and delicious, and reasonably priced. Dishes range from $AU14 and up.

The entrance – there is no English sign but look for the big glass windows on top of a big stone wall.
